The Spoons - Collectible Spoons (Canadian Import CD / 1994)

The highly underrated Spoons! I have to go back to my youth, specifically 1982, to recall the brilliant hit 'Nova Heart'. It's where it all started for me and I've collected all their work since. That track in particular came on the airwaves and I was immediately transported into another world. A Flock Of Seagulls and Strange Advance are right there with it, in 1982, that is. This is a fine compilation that covers most of the early releases stretching from 1981-1988. I owned this years ago, and like most everything I owned, it was sold...then repurchased. Ahh youth (smh)! This is all in WAV format and includes every scan from my CD. Happy June Friday my friends! Enjoy!

  1. Big fan (well, of the earlier stuff), they still put on a great live show! If you have a chance to catch them in concert, it's heartily encouraged.
And Sandy is still a cutie.

    1. Thanks G.G.! Catching one of their shows would be a bucket list, regarding bands I've yet to see live. Thanks for the comment.

    1. Thanks Richard. Certainly a worthy copy to do so! After repurchasing this and the 'Limited Edition' version which contains two different tracks, I had to go back into my collection for comparisons etc. ;)

    1. You are welcome as always! Thanks for the U2 links. I grabbed that a few days ago from (insert blog site here). Any chance you have FLAC or WAV files of that? That is what I prefer these days. ;)

    2. Thanks so much for the FLAC links!! U2 just played to sold-out shows in Chicago last weekend. I did not go. :(

concert ticket pricing is OUTRAGEOUS now. Depeche Mode lawn tickets to sit about half a mile away from the stage were $70 ... lol ... but this is the show to see with U2, since they are playing their greatest album front to back!

Nonetheless, it's crazy to think that you can go to 3 full days of RIOT Fest and see dozens of great bands for the same price (or less) than a single U2 ticket.

Riot fest this year btw includes NIN, Ministry, GBH, ... you should go

    4. So right regarding ticket prices!! I have a few friends that always go to Riot Fest. Those big festivals are not for me. Up here in Milwaukee, there is the massive 'Summerfest'. I go to that once or twice a season.
