The Bubblemen - The Bubblemen Are Coming (US 12 Inch / 1988)

01 The Bubblemen Rap (Extended Version) 5:20
02 Bubblemen Rap (Dub Version) 5:22
03 The Bubblemen Are Coming 5:14
04 Bees 3:41

Bubblemen, Love & Rockets...call it what you may. This release had most folks puzzled when it came out, but not for long. The vocals and harmonizing are unmistakable. I like to think that this was a fun way of the L&R boys to blow off steam, have some fun and maybe fill a RCA contract deficit...lol! However you see it, it's just plain fun or pun. Hell, the track 'Bees' is just that...bees...all 3:41 of it. All art is from my pristine 12 inch. All recordings are from the 2013 Love And Rockets Remastered CD box set. CD 5 'Assorted' in particular. Have fun out there friends! Enjoy!

Gene Loves Jezebel - Desire (Come And Get It) (US 12 Inch / 1986)

01 Desire (Dance Mix) 6:15
02 Sapphire Scavenger 3:47
03 A New Horizon 3:35
04 Message 2:54

A classic slice of vinyl from 1986. I can't even begin to count the amount of times I sweated this one out on the dancefloor. Thanks be to 'First Wave' radio for playing this recently. It's about the only place you ever hear it anymore...or if you're hitting up a 'retro' night at a club. All art is from my vinyl. The recording of the 'Desire (Dance Mix)' is from the vinyl as well. All the other b-side tracks were taken from the 2005 remaster of 'Discover' Happy Friday! Enjoy!

Click Click - Yakutska (3" Import CDS / 1988)

While I'm in that zone. I recently put this on the sale block over at Discogs. Recordings are in 320 and Lossless for those of you who prefer bigger files. All the art was taken from my rather beat up version. Plenty of photoshop going on. Here is the link for more information on this CDS 'Yakutska'

Click Click - Rorschach Testing (Import CD / 1988)

A recent request. As you can see, this is the art I used for my blog header. A great release from Click Click, who were at their peak during the tail end of the 80's. Classic Dark EBM for those fans. As always, my recording from the CD I 'had' at the time. The scans are slightly askew due to my lack of care years ago. Link here for further information on the release. More to follow, not just EBM posts, so be prepared. Thanks as always! Enjoy!

V/A - Give Peace A Dance (2 CD Import / 1991)

I can't think of a more appropriate time to share this release. Of course, back in 1991 there was a slue of problems going on as well, but nothing like you see today. Living in the U.S. has hardened and saddened me in so many ways. Seeing what has been going on in Europe and across the globe as well, has me shrugging my shoulders. I have outlets for that. I revel in my family, my music, this blog and good friends. I only hope for the best and for those in the U.S. to be better than what has already been shared with the world. These next few weeks of the Summer and 2016 as a whole are going to be huge. I've been forewarning many regarding such events, not that I'm a doomsayer, but more like an 'I told you so'. OK....enough with the soapbox. I don't want my blog to go off on a tangent here and I certainly don't expect you (the viewer) to feel a need to respond. It's just me huffing...

All the scans and recordings are from my 2 CD release. The tracks are all mixed together, but not in the traditional sense. My personal favourite has always been CD 2. I encourage you to give this a listen and let 'Peace' sink in for you and yours and possibly for just one fleeting moment.

Robotiko Rejekto - Confusion (Import CDS / 1989)

01 Confusion (Are-U Mix) 5:18
02 Confusion (Dubbed) 5:26
03 Confusion (CD Mix) 5:44

My first post since switching internet providers. Thanks for hanging with me while I ironed out all the details. A bit more than I was expecting, but happy to have switched and plan on saving my monies for more important things! OK...let's move on, shall we?

Today's post is part of the Robotiko Rejekto conglomerate that I had promised earlier. As you can see, the art I used is from the scans of my the actual 12 Inch. I also have the CDS (Thanks to KY!) from which I uploaded these tracks. A bit of 'confusion'? I can provide a FLAC or losseless copy of this CDS too. I know some of you have pointed out in the past that you may prefer the actual vinyl recordings to the CD, so let me know if you would like that option. I prefer to hear some feedback regarding the 'Vinyl or CD' war. CD's are obviously easier, but vinyl has that warmer feel. Feel free to sound off in the comments.

Thanks again! More R.R. to come, maybe not immediately, as I have a few other records in the pipeline at the moment. Enjoy friends!

Robotiko Rejekto - The Cyper Space (Import CD / 1990)

Stepping back into the Techno / EBM / New Beat zone with this ultimate German classic from 1990. Five singles were released  prior to and following this LP/CD. I think that the 12 inch releases were far better than this 'compilation' CD, so to speak. I mean, the actual singles had the extended mixes and remixes, whereas what you have here are the edits. I would have preferred more of the 12 inch mixes as opposed to the two and three minute tracks. Oh well. I think this is a fine release and quite the embodiment of what the European 'Techno' sound was at the time. This is still fetching some good money on Discogs, so give it a listen and then decide if it's worth it to have the CD/LP release in your 'physical' collection. I thank the stars for for all that Andreas Tomalla (Talla 2XLC) put out musically back then! Enjoy and Happy Weekend!

All recordings from this post are from my actual CD release. All the images of the LP release are from my record (via Kim J). The CD images are courtesy of Discogs only because I can't find my original art!!

The Cure - In Between Days (US 12 Inch / 1985)

01 In Between Days (Vocal / LP Version) 2:55
02 In Between Days (Extended Version) 4:00
03 Stop Dead 4:00

Happy 4th Of July / Independence Day America! I was inspired to post this after hearing the extended mix of it over on one of my 'favorite' 80's Music / Video Facebook groups. I got to thinking about the last time I actually saw this posted on a blog and I can say I don't remember (of recent). Well, here you are. Just the tracks from the release and all the HQ scanned art from my 12 inch which is now up for sale on Discogs. I know, don't sell it, but I have a ton of Cure and this is still fetching some good $$! Enjoy!

Clan Of Xymox - A Day (UK Import 12 Inch / 1985)

01 A Day (Re-Mix) 9:12
02 Stranger (Re-Mix) 5:23

Imagine my surprise in reviewing my blog posts to find NO Clan Of Xymox! A quick search across the other blogs I follow netted me very little in the way of C.O.X, but a good bit of the late 80's, early 90's Xymox output. That's fine because I love that time frame of their music as well. This 12 inch though, this started my love of the 4.A.D. label and all the bands therein! Much of my 4 A.D. influence goes back to my days at MIAD (Milwaukee Institute of Art & Design) and late night listening to the local college radio station 91.7 WMSE (Milwaukee School of Engineering). The Fall of 1986 forever changed me.

Enough with me reminiscing about the past. Today's post is just the straight up 12 inch from Clan Of Xymox. I'm happy to say that I own this and haven't sold it! All the art was neatly scanned for you and the tracks sound impressive! Enjoy! (Happy 4th Of July / Independence Day to my U.S. followers!)
