Boytronic - Bryllyant / You (Import CDS / 1988)

Friday synthpop bonus round! This was not part of the lot that I mentioned in the previous post. I grabbed this one via eBay. Not enough has ever been said about Boytronic. Bryllyant electronic / synthpop producers who made some quality tracks back in the day, and even up until the early 2000's! I would highly recommend that You get your hands on all the remastered reissues that are out there. Go here.

Here is one of their well known synthpop classics. All art and recordings are from my CD. Enjoy!

I haven't seen any Eternal Afflict your blog yet. Their cover of PAINT IT BLACK and pretty much their first few releases (San Diego) were absolute Goth Club classics back in the day. I hope you enjoy them.

They were great! One of those early danceable goth groups.

Here's another one you probably already have a lot of. I actually loved their hair, which motivated me to grow it out back then. Love Missile is permanently on my playlist.

    3. Nice! Looking forward to opening these. I was a 'massive' SSS fan back when they were still quite underground. Nobody could figure them out, well sort of. They reminded me of what nightlife in Tokyo would be like today...lol!

lol ... so true! I thought they were so cool ... definitely did not pick up on the drag queen part. I'm surprised that Cleopatra hasn't put out a Punk Tribute to them yet. I bet it would sound pretty good.

    5. Lol....drag queen part seems kind of funny as we are commenting on the 'Boytronic' post. I meant SSS was more about flash and Japanese style graphics. Everything they did as far as propaganda was very hardcore image and bang! Similar to the Tokyo scene of today. Nightclub shows that er aural and sensory overloads with masses of lasers, l.e.d.'s and animatronic robots. Way over the top crazy!! As for Cleopatra, they can stop doing the 'tribute' stuff already. I'm tired of the lot of it, but that's just how I feel. I'd like to see them become more of what Cherry Red in England have done. Remaster some classics etc. I'll get off my soap box now. lol!

  3. It was the time when twelve inches on CD were produced for the first time. I bought the 12" CD but it was stolen a few years after. It was one of the first New Beat tracks. Thank you.
