Gruesome Twosome - Hallucination Generation (CDS / 1989)

I was inspired by a recent post on a friends blog. It involved the 'Angel Heart' soundtrack, specifically Mickey Rourke from 1987. He has a line at the end of the movie that gets repeated...'I know who I am'. So, bringing this full circle, that movie sample is used here in this CDS. The track 'Hollywood Babylon Revisited'. This CDS has been posted many times before on other blogs, but not of recent. Here are all the tracks and art. My recordings and scans. Thanks...Enjoy!

    1. Thanks Mike! You are welcome. I've heard of the track you are mentioning. I'll have to lookinto it. Certain I don't have it, but will plunder the internets for a source...or purchase! :)

    2. Mike, check this site here. There is a download for it (Mediafire). Click on the 'descargar' box. It's only a 192 version and I have yet to check the quality.

    3. RA Feutz,

Like I mentioned before, being knowledgeable, and you know a few more blogs than I do.

    5. RA Feutz,

No, they just tend to get into the wrong hands, or people just tend to drp some ridiculous comments on them or about them.
For business it would be fine. I’ve got one story after another about me being in the situation (in between Jobs) so I would rather keep the media clean until I can get back in the groove.
Don’t mind at all having conversations. While I have time, just trying to digitize my vinyl’s before becoming extremely busy!!

BTW - The rip of Idle Eyes (Please comment or suggest) was a little tricky to get a good rip with Magix Audio Cleaning Lab 2013. So a comment or 2 was left on that section where you had commented,so I was told they sound muffled and underwater. (don’t think it was that bad) just to me was the voice and the hiss or clarity of the voice.

It could have been a bad pressing or just extreme wear on the vinyl.

With that being said I went back and made some changes so feel free to grab that from MyVinylDreams and please listen to both and to me, #2 version came out a little better but still the vinyl.

Let me know how they compare, #2 should be better in my opinion (Adobe Audition I believe has more options and settings for music enhancements but more expensive from what I’ve heard and read).

    6. Understood regarding FB and the nonsense that can persist. It's my way of keeping on top of events, concerts and band releases...friends too (a bit)! ;)

Yes, I will check out the recording and grab the 2nd one you made. I run Adobe Audition on my tracks as a final cleanup and it works quite well. I know what you speak of regarding vinyl and crap pressings etc. I'll let you know my opine on (both) recordings. Shoot me an email that I can get in contact with you. If you leave it here in the comments, I won't publish it. Thanks!!

    1. Your welcome. Negrosex...yeah, the only one I had on vinyl was the 'Techno La Droga' release. I know I don't have the 'God and Evil'. Let me do some checking into it. Thanks again!

    2. I have recordings of 'God and Evil (Mix 1)' and 'Na Possa Solem' taken from the youtube videos. It's good quality too. Missing the Mix 2 of the title track...can't find that one...

  5. I heard Hallucination Generation a long time ago; probably on WRAS Georgia State college radio. I listened to a great deal of industrial/ebm back then.

Never knowing who this was, I always assumed something like KMFDM.

I glad to have found it again and now I can track down a copy of my own.
