Siouxsie & The Banshees - Peek-A-Boo (Ltd. Ed. Promo 12 Inch / 1988)

01 Peek-A-Boo (Big Spender Mix) 6:10
02 Peek-A-Boo (Two Faced Mix) 6:04

Bought and sold this Ltd. Ed. Numbered Promo 12 Inch within a month time and made 10x what I paid for it. Got to love Discogs!  The mixes are pretty nice. I'm certain I would have used them back when I was whipping up the 80's nights I DJ'ed. A nice find, now a nice share...for you! All Art & Recordings are from this actual 12 inch. Enjoy!

  2. Thanks, RA! Nothing like some uber rare Siouxsie mixes for an early x-mas present! I have been buying all the Siouxsie reissues, but haven't been terribly impressed with the extras. I think the final batch of the last 3 or 4 were recently released but I've held off on them. I really wish some of these reissues would include an extra disc (perhaps even a DVD?), a la the Suede reissues. Siouxsie's Upside Down Box was nice and The Cure's reissues have been nicely done, although I'm wondering if Wish is ever coming, but I digress. Thanks for this and all the great rarities. Cheers and Happy Holidays!

    1. Awesome! You're welcome! I feel the same regarding the Siouxsie reissues. What really disappointed me was the Sisters Of Mercy reissues. Nil for extras and barely a remaster. Those should have been double CD's and/or with a DVD as you were saying. I have all the Cure Deluxe Remasters and I too, am waiting to see where it goes with 'Wish' and the catalog there after. Thanks for the comment!!

    2. R.A. Feutz,

I actually had no idea this was out and purchased this a while back (Maybe 2 0r 3 years ago) and not sure if it was numbered but the seller told the mixes weren’t too different basically similar. Anyway I still wanted it for the Two faced Mix. It may have been you but I I do not know.

Great mixes regardless and still different from the UK & U.S. 12”s when it comes to different versions and bonus tracks. I believe I have this one the other silver covered one the blue UK and the Blue U.S. and if there is more well just tell me I’ll have to grab the others too.

Oh, just to let you know General Public 12ers will be ripped soon (had some other stuff to attend to) but they may not get posted to djjedredy’s - Myvinyldreams blog until January. I just send him stuff he blogs it when he can.

Cool deal & Excellent post !! (Actually thought about this mix last week and wanted to rip all 12”s of this song on to one compilation for the heck of it)

Keep on Side Stepping and Happy holidays!!

      Mike B.

    3. Nice! Thanks for the info, Mike! I always enjoy the vinyldreams blog and your contributions there are always appreciated! I'm always checking the Discogs site when it comes to my posts. As far as other versions, remixes, etc...I tend to just keep everything related to the specific record. I do love the 'bundled' the idea that you have been sharing. Sure is nice to have everything in one big file. Keep me posted! Thanks for the comment!

    4. It always amazes me how little thought goes into most of the reissues. It shows that they are never done by someone, who is actually familiar with the artist's music or fans.

From a purely economical standpoint, which is all that matters to the label, they could really boost the sales of these reissues by involving the artist and including ALL the rarities and unreleased materials.

Oh well ... that's why God invented the Internet ... lol

I really just wanted to wish you a MERRY CHRISTMAS and a fund and happy New Year!

Thank you for all the great musical memories. Visiting your blog feels like Christmas every time!

    5. So true regarding the reissues or remasters! I have to think that some of it might be a licensing issue on part of the labels no cooperating, sometimes it's the artists themselves who stranglehold the idea. Either way it is a shame to not try and perfect some of these classics. I find that most releases and remasters coming out of Japan are superb! Go figure! Anyway, Thanks again FH, for the continued support, great comments and shares! Merry Christmas & Happy New Year to you as well!

  3. I have the US version of the 12inch, though looking at Discogs there seems to be a gajillion different variations of the single with a few different mixes and run times. Frustrating. Thanks for filling in a bit more of the completionist puzzle.
