Philadelphia Five - Bump! / Jerry (Import 12 Inch / 1988)

01 Baby Do You Want To Bump 6:58
02 Not Leaving Without Jerry 8:05
03 Baby Do You Want To Bump (Rough Mix) 3:47

I've been wanting to post this for sometime. It was recently sold on Discogs, so again, I'm sharing it here...all of my art and recordings from the original KK Records (KK 002) release!  What can I say about these two individuals (Mark Borgions & Jo Lijnen) that were Philadelphia Five? Influential! They whipped up a dark electronic house sound that Cabaret Voltaire would mimic years later. I forget to mention that they were produced by the one and only Luc Van Acker!  This was released in 1988, but the tracks themselves go back a year or so prior. It was a top five underground dancefloor hit in the U.S. for several months! Unfortunate as it is, there are very few releases by the group, but I'd recommend all of them!

V/A - New Wave Club Class X (CD 8 / 1997)

Today's post is an addition to the previous box series posts! I'd like to thank Big Bad Buddha for sharing this with me and now you, my fellow Sidestepping followers! Thanks again! This is not my original burn or art work and the files were originally ripped in Ogg format. I converted them to mp3's and they are at 320kbps, so it is well represented. As you can see, this was released in 1997, after the box set. As far as I'm concerned, they could have gone on releasing these compilations forever! Anyway, big thanks again to BBB...enjoy my friends!

V/A - New Wave Club Class X Traxx Box Set (CD 7 / 1996)

So this is the last CD in the box set. As you can see, the entire series focuses nicely on some of the more rare tracks of the time. I've included a proof picture along with the scans from the actual box within the zip. Thanks for tagging along and commenting towards the blog posts for all seven of these CD's!  Now, please exit on the left side and continue on your way. We've enjoyed having you at the Sidestepping ride today!

V/A - New Wave Club Class X Traxx Box Set (CD 1 / 1996)

I've decided what my next (7) blog posts will be. This is CD 1 of the Antler Subway New Wave Club Class X Traxx Box Set. You can find more info here Discogs Link. I believe that this has been posted previously on other blogs, but these are all my recordings and scans of the art....not to mention the 'entire' box set. Interesting to see that it's selling for $140 at time of posting. I paid a mere $30 for it from one of my favourite used CD stores! You got to know where to go...lol! All good! Let's get on with it...

01 October Love Song (Vocal Long Version) 6:58
02 October Love Song (Instrumental) 3:53
03 October Love Song (Vocal Short Version) 3:52
04 October Love Song (Dance Mix) 6:56

Bonus (from Various CD compilations)

05 October Love Song ('86 Version) 4:40
06 October Love Song (Dance Mix) 6:52
07 October Love Song (Remix) 3:57

Jeez, has it really been over a month since my last post? No excuses on my part....like...family, continually downloading and sharing on other blogs...etc. Massive apologies for the long hiatus!
Let's get back on it, shall we?

Today's post is a direct rip from the beat to hell UK vinyl I own (I should say owned, as I recently sold it on discogs, hence this post). That's not to say the recordings are all that bad, but they certainly aren't up to snuff with the CD versions. I have cleaned them up and re-EQ'ed a few things and it sounds fair enough. The actual art that I'm posting is a complete overhaul of the original. There was no way you wanted to see that mess.

I've decided to post a few of the CD versions I culled from various artists compilations. Track 5 was taken from Funky Alternatives 1. Track 6 was taken from New Wave Club Classic 6 and the last track was taken from Exotika & Take Five

Give it a download and a listen. Feel free to comment.
Thanks again for your continued support and patience!
