I have previously posted some Westside Records in their 12 inch form. What we have today is the lovely German 20th Anniversary compilation CD. It's a superb crosscut of the labels pressings from 1984 through 1990. There are a couple keys pieces on here, not to mention edits of the greats. I would have preferred a box set with all the releases or at least a double CD with full on 12 inch mixes, but hey...I bought it anyway. The liner notes are in German so good luck reading it if you aren't versed in Deutch. The better inclusion here (in the liner notes) is the complete catlogue of releases. I have photocopied the entire release for your 'complete' interest. The recording is directly from the CD. Enjoy!

Yeah, I couldn't believe my eyes! The liner notes are very interesting ... thank you for including the scans!

I agree with you in that I wish they had included more tracks and remixes. This should have been at least a 3xCD ... but thanks to you, we kinda have all of them anyways!

you wouldn't by any chance have "Hardkiss - Delusions Of Grandeur (20th Anniversary Remastered + Bonus)". I have the original but the new version apparently contains a lot of bonus material.

    1. I don't have the Hardkiss release. I have quite a bit of 90's electronic / techno / rave / IDM, but I do have my limitations. Thanks for the inquiry!

    2. Hi Rob,

Were you able to locate the following track?

Endgames - First, Last For Everything (1982)

I had it at one time on an awesome 3-CD compilation called "Classic Alternatives" put out by SPG but never got around to digitizing it before letting it go.

  5. Hi,

I'm wondering if you have some ideas on how to fix this, since you seem to be an expert on ripping MP3s ... lol

I downloaded HOT TRACKS - The Edge Level 1 in FLAC: https://mega.co.nz/#!YoFmCBKB!zyePNwX894fUA0eJ_Lb7SvAvVY9YYcDDVPNBgAFDIL4
and I tried to convert the files to 320K MP3 using dbpoweramp but I get a click at the beginning of some of the files. I also tried it with Foobar2000 and I get the same annoying click. Do you know any better way to convert FLAC files to MP3?

    1. Thanks Josh! Let me grab the file and check it out with what I use. I actually use the same thing, dbpoweramp, for conversion. Maybe it's something other than that...

    2. I couldn't find any issues. I converted all of the FLAC tracks to mp3 format and then listened to them in Adobe Audition in case I needed to fix anything. Nothing found. Perhaps something with your sound card? IDK. Sorry.

    3. I've had great success converting all FLACs to MP3 with Audacity... free download... LAMe codec is free, too... you can batch process them, go do something else, and they are flawlessly converted when you come back... http://sourceforge.net/projects/audacity/

  6. yep, you were right! I converted them with dbpa on a different computer and there were no clicks! CRAZY!

    thank you!!!

you wouldn't by any chance have the first 14 volumes of Hot Tracks The Edge. I used to have a couple of them and remember that especially the remix of Front 242 - Headhunter and Depeche Mode - Strangelove were exceptional!

    1. Glad it all worked out. I used to have several Hot Tracks mixes...back in the day. No clue where they are now, but I still have quite a Razormaid collection! CD & Vinyl!
