V/A - Acieed Inferno 2 (Import CD / 1989)

This is Volume 2 of the Acieed House series on the BCM Records label. I think that you'll find it to be an obvious compliment to the first volume I posted previously. Here is the Discogs link to further provide you with any additional information. This CD is still selling for a fair amount. All art and recordings are from my original CD that I bought 'years' ago!

V/A - Acieed Inferno (Import CD / 1988)

These next few posts are going to draw from the late 80's European Acieed House craze. I have a series of CD's that are rather expensive to come by, well perhaps they used to be. Here's the Discogs link for some background information on this one. Most consumers out there are clueless as to 'the classics', so this is a little treat is for all my readers who were in the know back then. If you didn't know, you will be brought up to speed about the real Acid House history. For the most part, I absolutely hated Acid House back in the day, but what it morphed into made me all the more curious. All art & recordings are from my original CD I purchased 'years' ago! There was a time...

Gypsy - Funk de Fino (UK 12 Inch / 1994)

01 Funk de Fino 13:37
02 Varisuvia 8:47

A bit of a delay within regards to posting the second half of a few requests. Nothing worse than getting that one Winter Flu / Cold a year to put you into hibernation. Figures. Anyway, here is the follow up. This is a great progressive trance record from Gypsy. Limbo Records was on the cutting edge of this style along with Eye Q and Harthouse Records. There were many labels catering to this style, but these three were on my radar back then. The shear length of the tracks make it one that feels it should be on a constant loop. All art & recordings are from my 12 inch. Artwork was shared to the Discogs site.

B-Tribe - Fiesta Fatal (US 12 Inch / 1993)

01 Fiesta Fatal (Barcelona Tribe Megamix) 7:35
02 Fiesta Fatal (Radio Edit) 3:42
03 Fiesta Fatale (Pippi's Noche Latina Percussion Mix) 4:02
04 Fiesta Fatal (Ragga UK Mix) 6:03

05 Fiesta Fatal (Album Version) 5:59

Knocking out a couple of requests from you readers/followers of my blog. Stepping into the Tribal House department for this lovely slice of wax. I remembering gushing over this one back when I picked it up in '93. I still recall where I dropped the 'Noche Latina' version in my mixes and with what tracks it worked best. A good recall and some great times from long ago!

Regarding the vinyl itself, it has seen better days. I think that there really is only a slight issue with the take/recording of the Radio Edit. As for the first track and the last track, those were culled from the original CD, otherwise all art and most of the recordings are from this twelve inch.

Wang Chung - Fire In The Twilight (US 12 Inch / 1985)

01 Wang Chung - Fire In The Twilight (Specially Remixed Version) 3:42
02 Jesse Johnson & Stephanie Spruill - Heart Too Hot To Hold 4:23

A quick post from the Wang Chung library. I've had this ready for awhile now, may as well get it on the blog. Nothing to special here. The 'Specially Remixed Version' seems to be an edit of the actual track...that's it. It's fifteen seconds shorter. The Jesse Johnson track is the same as the soundtrack. Grab this one for the artwork...if you want. All art & recordings are from this release. Art was uploaded to Discogs.

MCL (Microchip League) - New York (US 12 Inch / 1987)

01 New York (Dancefloor Cut) 5:06
02 New Tork (Double-New York Mix) 6:42
03 Communicate (Atomic Part) 5:53
04 Communicate (Peking Walk) 4:25
05 Communicate (Atomik Beats) 2:31

06 Communicate (12 Inch Remix) 7:08
07 Communicate (Razormaid!) 7:19
08 New York (LP Version) 4:57
09 New York (Midnight Mix) 6:11
10 New York (Razormaid!) 6:24

I've been flirting with posting this twelve inch for years. Perhaps it was my last Westside Records post that inspired me to rip this one out. If you don't know this record, well, you must live under a rock or are younger than 25 (not to age myself)! It was an instant club classic back in 1987, rivaling the best out there...Front 242, Nitzer Ebb & Cabaret Voltaire. Every copy I have ever owned had the groove worn right out of it. Needless to say, this recent version that I picked up on the cheap has a bit of wear too, but I was able to get a healthy rip of it. I WAS going to use the 2005 CD release of MCL 'Different Mixes', but it is helplessly 'brick walled' in the remastered form...ugh! The bonus tracks I have were taken from various other CD's I have of Razormaid! and DJ only releases. I apologize in advance for the bit rates on the bonus material. It varies, but it all is above 250. All art and recordings (1-5) are taken from this twelve inch release. All images were forwarded to the Discogs site.

Gino Vannelli - In The Name Of Money (US 12 Inch / 1987)

01 In The Name Of Money (Extended Dance Mix) 5:28
02 In The Name Of Money (Single Version) 3:54
03 In The Name Of Money (Dub Mix) 3:54

This release is a fine example of some of the typical fodder you might find here, given my mission statement back in 2010. I have a soft spot for Mr. Vannelli. I grew up listening to his tracks on 70's Pop radio stations when I was a young boy. His 1985 release of 'Black Cars' was enough for me to buy the twelve inch and the CD, not to mention his next release from 1987 'Big Dreamers Never Sleep'. This twelve inch never charted, in fact it was his toned down smooth ballad 'Wild Horses' that made it into the top 100 and was his last charting record. Nonetheless, you can hear the typical dated production of the time in this release. It also has a similar feel to the aformentioned 'Black Cars' twelve inch. All art and recordings are from this recent $1 purchase off of Discogs!

INXS - Devil Inside (US 12 Inch / 1987)

01 Devil Inside (Re-Mix Version) 6:28
02 Devil Inside (7 Inch Version) 5:09
03 On The Rocks (Unavailable on LP) 3:06

There are a ton of INXS releases out there in the blogosphere, why not add another contribution. I've seen this on other blogs in CD Single format before and of course this has been widely put on various compilations of theirs, so it's not terribly hard to come by anymore. I used the CD Single as my recording basis and then tweaked the tracks. All of the art is from my extremely beat up twelve inch. I spent several hours photo shopping this one...because I'm OCD and have too much spare time. The art will also be put up on the Discogs site shortly.
